Man Shot in Leg During Carjacking, Suspect Sought

    Police are investigating a carjacking and shooting in Southeast D.C. during the early morning hours Sunday.

    A man was shot in the leg by a suspect who is still on the lam, according to police.

    The incident was reported just before 2 a.m. Sunday on Howard Road in Southeast D.C. The victim of the carjacking was shot in the leg, and was conscious and breathing upon police arrival.

    D.C. Police said the suspect is described as a 22-year-old black man, standing 5'3", wearing a blue shirt, dark jeans and a red bandanna.

    The stolen car is a 1991 Acura Legend with D.C. tag EF3704.
