FBI Police Officer Found Shot to Death in Stafford County

An FBI police officer was found shot to death outside his Stafford County home early Monday morning after he was confronted by a gunman who police said he knew.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Jeremy Brown, 29, lying on the ground. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

Now, police have arrested Antoine Gray Johnson, age 26, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and charged him with first-degree murder.

Police say Brown was leaving his home on Clint Lane at 5:01 a.m., in uniform, when he was confronted by Johnson. Police are still investigating why the confrontation happened.

Police got a description of Johnson and his car from witnesses. Within 20 minutes a deputy from the King George County Sheriff’s Office spotted Johnson's car near of Caledon Road and Dahlgren Road, and he was arrested.

Johnson also was charged with using a firearm in the commission of a felony and is now jailed at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
