1 Dead, 1 Injured in Stabbing at Gathering in Woodbridge Home

Prince William County Police have charged a 31-year-old man with the death of one man and the wounding of another in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Officers were called to the 15000 block of Cloverdale Road at 11:44 p.m. Wednesday, where they found 44-year-old Alvin Elroy Cannon suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.

While investigating the stabbing, police say a second victim, a 33-year-old man, walked into an area hospital with stab wounds to his upper body. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say the stabbing was not random and appears to have stemmed from a dispute at a gathering held at the home on Cloverdale Road.

Brandon Curtis Hampton Henry has been charged with murder and aggravated malicious wounding.

This is the third murder in the county this year, police said.
