Frederick police said they have arrested a man for soliciting sex from a teenage girl online and asking her to send pornographic images.
George Staton, 44, was arrested on Friday following his indictment by a grand jury. Police said they became aware of his activities after he sent harassing emails to the 16-year-old victim's employer.
Police said they discovered that Staton had been in an online relationship with the girl since she was 15. Police said he solicited her for sex while she was that age and received pornographic images from her.
Staton is charged with five counts of sexual solicitation of a minor and one count each of solicitation of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
An attorney who has previously represented Staton did not immediately return a message.
