The suspect in the August serial stabbings in Leesburg could soon be facing murder charges in similar stabbings in Flint, Mich.

Elias Abuelazam has only been charged in one case so far -- the attempted murder of a 26-year-old man in Michigan.

But that appears likely to change as a prosecutor in Flint says he is filing more charges, the Associated Press reported.

The prosecutor, David Leyton, said he won’t comment before a Monday news conference, but the defense lawyer for Abuelazam said he is expecting at least one murder charge.

Elias Abuelazam is a suspect in two stabbings and a hammer attack in Leesburg, Va.

He attempted to travel to his native country of Israel last month, but was arrested.

He is also a suspect in a stabbing in Ohio.
