House in Potomac Apparently Struck by Lightning

A house in Potomac, Md. was apparently struck by lightning Wednesday afternoon, causing a fire in the attic.

All occupants and pets are out of the house, Pete Piringer of Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service tweeted. No injuries were reported.

At about 6:30 p.m., Piringer said the fire was mostly under control.
