A Montgomery County middle school student is probably the most popular kid in his class after performing on stage with Green Day last week.

Davis Gestiehr, 12, was picked out of the crowd at the April 4 concert at the Patriot Center when Green Day lead singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong asked for someone who knew the words to the 1994 hit “Longview.”

Armstrong was impressed that someone younger than the song knew the words and invited him to sing along.

Davis also left with one of Armstrong's guitars as a souvenir.
