Closures for Two Lanes of I-95 in Virginia Friday Night

Additionally, third lane will close for periods of up to 15 minutes in two areas

Two of the three southbound lanes of Interstate 95 will close in Virginia overnight Friday, starting at 10 p.m.

Additionally, the third lane will close for periods of up to 15 minutes in two locations, said the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The third lane closures will only occur between midnight and 2 a.m. in the following areas:

  • Between Exit 152, Dumfries Road (Route 234) and Exit 150, Joplin Road (Route 619)

  • Between the Telegraph Road (Route 637) overpass near Quantico and Exit 143,Garrisonville Road (Route 610)

VDOT said the closures are necessary so crews can safely move cranes across the interstate. All lanes will be reopened by 5 a.m.
