Forum Seeks Recreation Improvements for Wounded Warriors

Join NBC 5 at the Trophy Club Salutes Wounded Warriors 1st Annual Charity Event on Saturday, October 1 at the Trophy Club Country Club.

Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., and Fort Belvoir Commander Col. Gregory Gadson are hosting a roundtable discussion looking for ways to improve recreational opportunities for wounded warriors.

The forum will be held at noon Monday at Fort Belvoir's Officer's Club.

Fairfax County Supervisor Gerald Hyland will also participate in the roundtable, which is bringing together more than a dozen private groups to look at way to better utilize the land and facilities in the region to benefit servicemembers who are rehabilitating from their injuries.

Fort Belvoir has grown in recent years, especially with the addition of a major military hospital.
