Rescue Workers Respond to 2 Kayakers in Distress at Great Falls

Emergency workers have responded to an area of the Potomac River in Great Falls, where two kayakers were in distress.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer said rescue boats deployed from Old Angler's Inn in Potomac, Maryland, about 4:20 p.m. Friday.

Rescue crews found the two kayakers on the shoreline. Piringer said one kayaker helped the other to safety.

Medics are evaluating the kayakers, Piringer said.
