Delivery Man Clubbed and Robbed in Sterling

Incident happened at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday

Detectives are investigating the hijacking of a 47-year-old pizza delivery man from Sterling, Va.

Deputies said he was clubbed right after he delivered a pie.

The victim was driving a 1999 Blue Honda Civic four-door in the 21840 block of Baldwin Square, making a delivery to an apartment complex, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. 

The suspect has been described as 5’5”-5’10” tall, in his late teens to early twenties, and thin of build.

Police said he snuck up behind the pizza guy and hit him with a blunt object, took his keys, and then took off in the victim's car.

The delivery man received medical treatment at the scene.
