Deadly Shooting in Southeast D.C.



    Family members say 21-year-old Ashley McRae left her job at a Georgetown store, excited to go to a party at Ibiza nightclub in northeast Washington. She was found shot in her car across town after she left the celebration.

    Police are investigating the shooting death of a 21-year-old woman in southeast D.C.

    Ashley McCrae was found inside a car in the 2700 block of Bruce Place suffering from a gunshot wound at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, police said. She was taken to George Washington University Hospital, where she later died.

    Earlier, McCrae had gone to a Northeast nightclub, which she left with a man she knew at about 2 a.m., News4's Pat Collins reported.

    No arrests have been made.
