Silver Alert for Missing Mother

Prince George's County Police called off the silver alert for Adela Shepard-Barett on Monday, after the woman returned home unharmed.

Prince George's County Police were searching for a woman reported missing this Friday.  Her daughter said she was on the way to see her that evening, but never arrived.

Adela Shepard-Barett, age 66, was last seen at her home at 10:30 p.m. in Accokkeek, Md.  She told her niece that she was heading to Arlington, Va., to visit her daughter, and has not been heard from since.

Police said Ms. Barett is 5'1'', weighs 160 pounds, and drives a dark-gray late model Nissan Versa.

Anyone who has seen or has information about this missing woman has been asked to contact Prince George's County police at 301-499-8113.
