As Sandy exits the region, some announcements are coming in regarding reopenings.
The D.C. Government will be open Wednesday, Mayor Vincent Gray announced during a press conference Tuesday.
Likewise, federal agencies will reopen. Employees have the option for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.
Arlington, Alexandria, D.C., Montgomery, Fairfax and Prince George's County Public Schools are scheduled to reopen on time Wednesday -- with some caveats.
Some D.C. public schools have reported minor leaks, flooding, power outages or downed trees, and crews are working to get those buildings ready to open. Announcements will be made early Wednesday if any individual schools will remain closed.
Similarly, in Montgomery and County, a small number of public schools are still without power. The school district may have to keep some specific schools closed.
Loudoun County schools will have a one-hour delay Wednesday.
