Police Look for Wandering Toddler's Parents

UPDATE - A relative of the boy has been found. Police are still investigating why the child was left alone.

A 2-year-old child was found by the Loudoun Sheriff's Department on Tuesday, and now authorities are trying to identify the boy.

Police said the child was picked up around 2:30 p.m., wandering by himself near Guilford Elementary School on West Poplar in Sterling.  The child is described as white, with blonde hair, and weighing 25 pounds.  He is wearing a yellow shirt with a skateboard on the front, and brown shorts.  The child had no shoes on when deputies found him.

Temperatures in Sterling were in the 90's on Tuesday afternoon.
