    We heard from dozens of you about the different apps you use to save money when you shop. Here are just the few mentioned in the story.

    Coupons.com App: This app was recommended by Consumer Reports. Jennifer DeVore of Falls Church, VA tried the Coupons.com app and got big savings off items like yogurt, pasta sauce and lunch meat. Click here to see other Consumer Reports’ recommended apps.

    RetailMeNot App: Maria Peterson in Olney, Maryland uses the Retail Me Not app when she shops at places like Michaels, Kohls, Boston Market, and more. She estimated she’s saved $150 in 4 months while using the app.

    Safeway Just For U App: Michael Scott in Alexandria, VA uses Safeway’s Just for U app to save at the grocery store.

    All of these apps are free to download, and work for both Apple and Android devices. Some do require a username and password, or to link the app with a loyalty card.
