Car Stolen with Four-Year-Old Inside

Little Boy Found Safe

A woman stopped to get fuel at an Oxon Hill gas station when the unthinkable happened -- her car was stolen with her four-year-old child inside.

It happened Wednesday night at a Shell station at Branch Ave and Naylor Road. Luckily, police found the car a short time later, outside an apartment building at 25th Street and Southern Avenue S.E.

Police pried open the car door and reunited the child with his mother. They're still searching for a suspect.

Cases like this have been reported before, and police are warning parents not to leave their kids unattended in a car, even for a second.
