Car Crashes Into Overhead Sign Pole on I-270

All lanes of northbound I-270 near Frederick, Md., are now open after a car crashed into a pole holding an overhead sign Thursday morning. 

The roadway was closed for several hours as crews removed the vehicle and repaired the sign.

According to police, the Chevrolet Malibu was traveling on I-270, north of New Design Road, when it traveled off the road and crashed into the pole at 5:40 a.m. 

The injured driver was transported to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown. Their condition is not known at this time.
