10 Pounds of Marijuana Delivered to D.C. Woman's Home

A box carrying nearly 10 pounds of marijuana was delivered to a former USPS employee in Washington  Thursday.

The woman told News4 she mistakenly opened a package delivered to her southeast D.C. apartment thinking it was for her.

D.C. Police are investigating the package sent from Fresno, Calif., containing $40,000 in marijuana sealed in plastic packages.

"It's a bad thing," the woman told News4's Kristin Wright. "I don't do drugs. I don't sell drugs. I don't want drugs around me."

The woman said she had worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years.

Police say they have arrested the woman's neighbor, 24-year-old Delmario Henry, in the case and he is facing two drug-related charges.
