Boating Accident near Naval Academy Injures Three

    Two boats collided under the U.S. Naval Academy Bridge in Annapolis as the July 4 fireworks show was ending Friday night.

    Three people were rescued from the water and airlifted to a hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time, but all are expected to survive.

    The accident occurred around 9:45 p.m. The Naval Academy intramural field was used as a landing zone for the helicopter.
