BW Parkway Northbound Reopens After Serious Crash

A portion of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway has reopened following an accident in the northbound lanes.

U.S. Park Police were called to the scene near Route 32 in the area of Fort Meade after the two-vehicle crash.

Both vehicles involved, a car and a van, suffered extensive damage. It's not clear what caused the two vehicles to collide.

Injuries were reported at the scene, but there's no word on the conditions of those injured.

Traffic was redirected to Route 32 as crews worked to clear the scene. The parkway reopened shortly before 9 a.m.
