A Prince George's County high school was briefly locked down Friday after a student found an unloaded gun.
A student at Friendly High School in Fort Washington, Maryland saw the weapon and reported it Friday morning, a Prince George's County Schools spokesperson said.
The school was locked down for 30 minutes starting at 9:30 a.m., while security and Prince George's County police searched for the gun.
The weapon was found and nobody was injured, the spokesperson said.
Police are conducting an investigation.
