Alexandria Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault in the laundry room of an apartment complex.

Police said the incident happened at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 5000 block of Seminary Road within the Southern Towers apartment complex.

A woman called police and said that a man sexually assaulted her in the laundry room of her apartment building.  She said the suspect made his getaway in a tow truck.  Police quickly located the tow truck driver in the area and he had his own story about what happened.

The tow truck driver said he was there to recover the woman's car. Alexandria police said there was some sort of interaction between the tow truck driver and the woman.

No arrests have been made; police are investigating.  The alleged victim in the case has been taken to the hospital for examination.
