Plan to open an adult-themed store in the Old Town area of Manassas, Va., has upset some in the community.

The store will ruin the wholesome environment they've worked so hard  to create there, the opponents said. But the store owner said her shop is being unfairly judged.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been spent in recent years to beautify the area, showcase shops and restaurants, and make it family friendly. A store featuring adult DVDs, lotions, lingerie and more adult items is not what some local leaders had in mind.

Owner Kimberly Skokan, of Fairfax County, told News4 her boutique will be upscale with nothing more in the front window than what you might see at a mall lingerie store.

Not everyone is against her. Some of her business neighbors support her right to open the store.

KK’s Temptations is scheduled to open next month.
