D.C. Police are investigating a shooting that injured two women early Saturday morning in Northwest.

Investigators say that two women were shot at the intersection of 12th and U Streets at approximately 1 a.m. Neither woman's injury was life-threatening, according to police.

The shooting comes almost exactly one week after two other women were injured in a shooting a block away, near the intersection of 12th and U Streets. Three men were arrested in that case, and there is no indication that the two shootings are related.

Anyone with information is asked to contact D.C. Police at (202) 727-9099.
