Four people in Southeast D.C. were shot in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 2.
The four victims, all male, were sitting in a van when the shooting occured, on the 1300 block of Congress Street in the Southeast. Police said the incident occured around 6 a.m.
Two men sustained gun shot wounds to the head and are in critical condition. The other two men sustained non-life threatening injuries. A medevac helicopter carried one of the injured to a local hospital.
Police have yet to release any information on suspects or a motive. The investigation continues.
