IRS Looks to Deliver Thousands of Refund Checks

More than $153 million can't be delivered

The Internal Revenue Service is trying to give you money.

The IRS says it’s looking to pay out more than $153 million to 99,123 taxpayers in undelivered tax refund checks.

Officials say the reason for the undelivered returns is because of mailing address errors.

Fewer and fewer people are experiencing this problem because of electronic filing and direct deposit.

Last year, more than 78 million taxpayers chose direct deposit for their refunds.
