Brick it and they will come -- to the Brickfair LEGO Fan Festival at the Dulles Expo Center in August.

This LEGO event comes but once a year to the Mid-Atlantic region, so bring your friends, grab your camera and revel in this two-day LEGO experience. Hundreds of LEGO models and trains will be showcased built by die-hard (grownup) fans.

Most projects on display are only for looks but there are a few interactive ones, including the Stay and Play area, where you (or the kids, whatever) can build original LEGO creations.

There’s also an opp to win jars jampacked with LEGO elements.

Tickets are sold at the gate ($10 per day). The event runs Aug. 4-5, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The Dulles Expo Center is located at 4320 Chantilly Center, Chantilly, Va., about half an hour from downtown D.C.
