Presidential candidate Donald Trump brings his campaign to Northern Virginia. Tom Sherwood reports. (Published Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015)

GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump was in Prince William County on Wednesday night, rallying his supporters in Manassas.

At the Prince William County Fairgrounds in Manassas, he asked the crowd to pause for a moment of silence, and thanked police officers, who he says never get enough credit.

Organizers expected a large crowd, but not an entirely welcoming one. A group of protesters marched outside Trump's rally, carrying signs to show their opposition to his controversial views on immigration.
