    Another round of muggy, wet weather is expected for the D.C. area on Wednesday.

    By early Wednesday morning, most of the area will be dry. The day will start out muggy with mainly dry conditions during the morning hours. Plenty of clouds should help keep severe storm chances down, but heavy rain and some storms are still likely in the afternoon and evening.

    But Wednesday is only a break from more severe weather and thunderstorms: Thursday is expected to be a Storm Team4 weather alert day.

    Severe storm warnings were issued Storms and heavy rain rolled through the region on Tuesday after similar weather on Monday.

    The Nationals and the Philadelphia Phillies were rained out after a nearly two-hour delay on Tuesday, the teams' second washout in two nights. The game will be made up on Sept. 24 at 1:05 p.m. as part of a day-night doubleheader.

    Tuesday was another hot and humid day, with temperatures reaching the upper 80s in the late afternoon. Wednesday's highs will warm into the low to mid 80s.

    Storm Team4 says Thursday will likely be the worst day with the highest potential for heavy rain, strong winds and hail.

    A cold front will clear early Friday morning setting the stage for a gorgeous finish to the work week. Humidity levels will be nice along with a spectacular breeze and plenty of sun.
