The 2020 offseason has been one of change for the Washington Football Team.

In July, owner Dan Snyder decided to retire the team's old moniker following immense pressure from large corporate sponsors to change the name. A few weeks later, the franchise announced it would play as the 'Washington Football Team' in 2020 while they go through the process of coming up with a new moniker.

As a franchise, Washington understands the importance of fan input regarding the next team name. So, on Thursday, the organization announced the launch of the 'No Name But TEAM' campaign, designed to bring "fans of the burgundy and gold together as the franchise looks towards the future and builds its new identity."

According to the release, the campaign "will have broadcast, print, online, out-of-home and social components as the Washington Football Team further embraces its new name, new players, new coach, and loyal fanbase."

Washington plans to begin running advertisements this week for the campaign, preaching "family," "culture" and "character" while hoping to unite the entire local community as fans of the Washington Football Team.

The goal of the organization is to have direct fan involvement as the team ushers into a new era. Since taking over as head coach in January, Ron Rivera has preached commitment to the fans.

It's a new era in Washington, but the club hopes this campaign will help get the fan connection back to what it was during the franchise's glory days.
