Tom Wilson Exits Capitals Game Vs. Rangers With Upper-Body Injury

Tom Wilson exits vs. Rangers with upper-body injury originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Tom Wilson has been ruled out for the remainder of the Capitals' game against the New York Rangers on Wednesday with an upper-body injury.

Wilson, the subject of New York's ire entering the game, saw just two minutes and 36 seconds of ice time before being ruled out in the second period. He served 15 penalty minutes, including 10 minutes for misconduct.

Gloves dropped in this game immediately after the opening puck drop, with the Rangers still stewing over Wilson's actions in Monday's game between these teams. After three separate fights at the start, New York's Brendan Smith went after Wilson for another scrap. In total, six fights broke out in the game's first five minutes.

It's unclear when Wilson's injury was sustained or how severe it is.
