For 10 years, John Wall wore the same uniform and the same jersey number: No. 2 for the Washington Wizards.
After getting traded to the Rockets and preparing to wear a new uniform, he also appears to have chosen a new number.Β
Wall can be seen wearing No. 1 in his brand new Rockets uniform alongside new teammate DeMarcus Cousins. No. 2 was seemingly available for him in Houston, but he obviously went in another direction.Β
Other Rockets to wear No. 1 include Trevor Ariza, Wizards coach Scott Brooks and Tracy McGrady.
The same day Wall was pictured in a No. 1 Rockets jersey also happened to be the 16-year anniversary of McGrady's 13Β points in 35 seconds, when T-Mac led a miracle comeback against the Spurs all by himself.Β
Before he wore No. 2 for the Wizards, Wall usually went with No. 11, which he wore in high school and in his lone year at Kentucky.Β
