Report: VanVleet re-signing with Raptors on 4-year, $85M deal originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
The top free agent point guard is off the market, as Fred VanVleet has agreed to re-sign with the Toronto Raptors on a four-year, $85 million deal, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
VanVleet's deal includes a player option for the fourth season, which would see the guard stay in Toronto through the 2023-24 season.
VanVleet, 26, has spent his entire four-year career with the Raptors after going undrafted out of Wichita State.
The 2019 NBA champion increased his scoring each year in the league and averaged a career-high 17.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.6 assists last season. He started all 54 games he played in, primarily in an off-ball role next to Kyle Lowry.
