Report: A-Rod, Lore agree to buy Minnesota Timberwolves, Lynx originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
Former MLB star Alex Rodriguez and tech entrepreneur Marc Lore reportedly have agreed to purchase the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves and WNBA's Minnesota Lynx for $1.5 billion.
Rodriguez and Lore reportedly will each own 50 percent of the teams.

They were given a 30-day window to buy the franchises that expired Tuesday, but the group remained engaged in talks with Taylor.

News of the reported deal should excite Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards who sounded quite unimpressed when asked last month about A-Rod being the new owner of the team.
