The Baltimore Orioles pulled off a three-game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies with an 11-4 drubbing on Thursday. The team, which was expected to suffer through another year of rebuilding and poor results, is off to a surprising 10-7 start.
With the early success, Twitter users got the opportunity to do something they haven't been able to do much of as of late: brag and troll. And boy, did they ever.

The Orioles team account made sure everyone knew exactly what just went down in Philadelphia, and outfielder Dwight Smith Jr. once again made a joke about the team's low expectations.
Of course, old takes had to be exposed and jokes about the cardboard fans almost wrote themselves.
Baltimore will ride its hot streak into a weekend series with the Washington Nationals, a team they just beat twice and nearly swept if it wasn't for a tarp malfunction. Though the Nationals are the defending champions, the confidence within the Orioles and their fans is not wavering.
