Redskins Make Offer to Daniels

Defensive lineman wants to be a Redskin again

The Washington Redskins made a contract offer to 36-year-old veteran defensive lineman Phillip Daniels, who wants to return to the team, The Washington Post has reported.

"Yeah, my agent has been talking to the Redskins and they're trying to work out something," Daniels said. "...I'm hoping we can get something worked out and I can be a Redskin next season."

Daniels, who has played with the Redskins since 2004, missed the entire season last year after suffering a knee injury on the first day of training camp.
