Preakness Fave Going for Second Leg of Triple Crown

All eyes will be on Pimlico today, as 14 horses will compete in the 136th running of the Preakness Stakes.

Animal Kingdom, the Kentucky Derby winner, is also the favorite for Preakness. Oddsmakers have him as a 2-1 favorite.

If Animal Kingdom wins the Preakness, it sets up for one of the most exciting events in sports: the possibility of a Triple Crown.

The third leg of the Crown, the Belmont Stakes, is set for June 11 in New York.

Meanwhile, ticket sales are up 17 percent for this year's Preakness, and it might have something to do with the new mascot. Organizers introduced Kegasus in an attempt to draw a younger crowd.

Kegasus is described as half man, half party animal, and ready to have a great time.

The 136th running of the Preakness Stakes starts at 4:30 Saturday afternoon, and you can catch it on NBC4.
