Obama Takes First Mason-Dixon Lead in Virginia

Contest still close

A new Mason-Dixon poll released Wednesday found Democrat Barack Obama with a narrow lead over Republican John McCain in Virginia.

The poll was conducted Monday and Tuesday. It shows Obama ahead by 2 points -- 47 percent to 45 percent.

It's the first time a Mason-Dixon survey has shown Obama leading in Virginia. But with a margin of error of 4 points, statistically the race  remains very close in the commonwealth.
