An image of people waving flags on George Allen's website, under the banner "Ambassadors for Allen," look very close to stock photography available for purchase on the internet.
On Thursday afternoon, the image was being used at the top of Allen's website in a rolling banner, and again at the top of a web page soliciting volunteers for the Allen campaign.
That image looks strikingly similar to an image available on the stock photography website Fotosearch. By searching "People holding up American Flags," a user can find the same picture.
The price of a web resolution image is listed at $49.
Allen is running for U.S. Senate in Virginia.
