Sepp Blatter, the outgoing president of scandal-scarred FIFA, settled in for a press conference on Monday and got a surprise instead — a shower of cash tossed by a prankster, NBC News reported.
A British comedian walked up to Blatter at the appearance in Zurich and told him the cash was to support a North Korean bid for the World Cup in 2026. He tossed the wad of bills after an alarmed Blatter demanded: "Where is my security?"
Blatter announced earlier this year that he would relinquish his post after FIFA executives were indicted by American prosecutors on corruption charges. FIFA will elect a new president in February.
