Rick Perry apologized for remarks he made last week comparing homosexuality to alcoholism, saying he "stepped right in it" and should have stayed focused on economic issues, NBC News reported. In a recent interview on CNBC's "Squawk Box," Perry said that he neither "condones" nor "condemns" what he referred to as the gay "lifestyle." Perry also said that he "stepped in it" after his infamous "oops" moment during the 2012 presidential debates.
