Chaos Erupts at Missing Jet News Briefing

Distressed protesters, reportedly family members of passengers who were aboard the missing Malaysia Airlines jet, were removed from a daily news conference by officials on Wednesday. Crying women had entered the media briefing room carrying a banner demanding more information from Malaysian authorities, NBC News reported, and officials removed the poster and took the women to another room. On Tuesday, relatives in China threatened to go on a hunger strike to protest the lack of information about their loved ones. Meanwhile, Malaysia's acting transport minister said that data was deleted on Feb. 3 from a flight simulator found at the home of the missing plane's pilot, and forensic work was ongoing.
