Intel Exec Among Wash. Mountain Climbers Presumed Dead

One of the six climbers presumed dead after a fall on Washington state's Mount Rainier was a vice president of Intel Corp. in Southeast Asia. An Intel spokesperson confirmed Monday that his colleague Uday Marty was among the climbers who likely plummeted to their deaths last week high on the snow-capped mountain, and said Marty was "widely loved and respected at this company." Due to the hazardous terrain of the mountain, the bodies of the two guides and four climbers who fell to their deaths on the glaciated peak may never be recovered.
