The ride is over for the Loudoun South Little League team at the Little League World Series.
Loudoun South took on Louisiana in single-elimination play Thursday night and lost after Louisiana jumped out to an early lead. Loudoun South managed to keep it within one run until the fourth inning, but then a grand slam opened up the floodgates.
Loudoun South gave their all, but this one ended on a mercy rule, after they were down 10-0 at the bottom of the fifth.
Louisiana now plays Hawaii for the U.S. title Saturday.
