Virginia Gravedigger Arrested for Murder in North Carolina

Gravedigger accused of killing wife, burying her in an area of a cemetery only accessible to employees

A 30-year-old gravedigger is charged with killing his wife and burying her in a Virginia cemetery.

Adan Quiroz Rodriguez was arrested Thursday in Charlotte and charged him with murder in the death of his wife, Ashley Rodriguez.

The U.S. Marshals Service says the Alleghany County, Va., Sheriff's Office began investigating Ashley Rodriguez's disappearance after she failed to show up for work.

Officers found her remains in Alleghany Memorial Park in a part of the cemetery that was only accessible to employees. Deputies say Adan Rodriguez worked at the cemetery.

They think he shot her and buried her there.

Rodriquez was in the Mecklenburg County jail awaiting extradition. It was not clear if he has an attorney.
