Twenty-six Virginia business groups are giving a thumbs up to Gov. Bob McDonnell's transportation funding plan.
The groups said McDonnell's proposal to spend $4 billion on Virginia's highways will add capacity, improve the economy and put people back to work.
McDonnell is proposing to borrow $3 billion and use another billion in savings to jump start projects that were delayed by Virginia's budget problems.
Groups endorsing McDonnell's plan on Wednesday included transportation, real estate, construction and chambers of commerce.
