In honor of its one year anniversary, the National Museum of African American History and Culture will be commemorated with a Forever Stamp by the U.S. Postal Service.
The new stamp was unveiled at a dedication ceremony Friday.
The stamp will say "National Museum of African American History and Culture" in its upper-left corner and feature a photograph of the museum, according to the postal service.
"Black history is inseparable from American history, and the black experience represents a profound and unique strand of the American story," the postal service said in the statement.
