7 Teens Killed in Crashes During National Teen Driver Safety Week

Two teens killed in Fauquier County car crash

Two teens are dead after a car accident in Fauquier County, Va., Wednesday night.

The teens had attended Libery High School in Bealeton.

Brian Jacobsen, 17, of Nokesville, was driving on Route 643 when his Ford Taurus crashed into an embankment and hit a tree. Speed was a factor in the crash, according to police.

Jacobsen and his passenger, Eric Unger, 18, of Warrenton were killed instantly.

Both teens were wearing their seat belts, police said.

They are just the latest teens to die on Virginia roads in the past four days. Seven teens have been killed since Sunday.

The fatal crashes have occurred even though state police have tried to raise awareness because it's National Teen Driver Safety Week.
