A jackknifing tractor-trailer led to a chain-reaction crash in the outer loop of the Beltway at about 2 p.m. Friday, leading to major traffic delays.

Seven cars were involved in the crash as drivers struggled to avoid the jackknifing truck. One driver drove off the Beltway to avoid it.
